The closing performance of the Shanghai Spring International Music Festival, Rossini opera Il barbiere di Siviglia, co-produced by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Italian Social Theatre of Como-ASLICO, mesmerized audiences for four consecutive nights at the Shangyin Opera House. The creators strolled along the streets of Shanghai, extending an invitation to the globe.

Andres Agudelo, a Colombian portraying Count Almaviva, remarked that being able to witness similarities between Colombia, Italy, and China through music added an extra layer of excitement to the music festival.

Giovanni Vegeto, the general director of the Social Theatre of Como-ASLICO, mentioned that the music festival provided numerous opportunities for young artists to refine, showcase, and enhance their skills onstage.

Vegeto said that Shanghai is an international metropolis that preserves tradition and embraces diversity. The city offers a rich and ever-changing cultural experience. Walking through the streets of Shanghai, one can feel the juxtaposition of vastly different styles coexisting side by side.
